Ordering & products

What's the difference between a hobby box and a retail box?

Hobby boxes are sold through hobby distribution and are built for collectors: more packs, better odds on autographs and parallels, and inserts you won't find anywhere else. Retail boxes and blasters are the mass-market versions stocked by big-box stores — cheaper per box, fewer hits, and often exclusive parallels of their own. Ruebarree concentrates on hobby configurations, though we list retail when a release is worth it.

Is everything you sell authentic?

Yes. Every sealed product we stock is sourced through authorized distributors and wholesalers and arrives factory sealed. We do not buy from grey-market channels and we do not sell resealed, searched, or repackaged product. If anything you receive looks wrong, contact us immediately and we'll make it right.

Do you sell singles and graded cards?

We carry a rotating selection of both. Inventory moves quickly, so it's worth checking back. If you're hunting something specific and don't see it listed, email us — we can often source it.

How do pre-orders work?

A pre-order reserves your allocation of an upcoming release. You pay in full when you order, and we dispatch within one to two business days of the manufacturer's street date. Your price is locked at the time of order and won't rise if the market does.

Street dates are set by manufacturers and move regularly, which is outside our control. You can cancel a pre-order for a full refund any time before it ships. If a release is cancelled outright, or slips more than 30 days past its announced date, we'll contact you with the option to cancel.

Why are some products limited to one or two per customer?

Manufacturers allocate hot releases, meaning we receive a fixed quantity no matter how much we'd like to order. Purchase caps stop a handful of buyers from clearing the shelf in the first ten minutes, so more collectors get a shot at the release. Limits may apply per customer, per household, or per shipping address.

Can I order by phone?

Call +1 (970) 553-8864 during service hours and we'll help you place it. For your security we don't take card details over the phone — we'll send a secure payment link instead.

Shipping & delivery

How much is shipping?

Standard shipping is free on every order, with no minimum spend — one pack or a full case. Two-Day and Next Day Air upgrades are available at checkout at cost.

How quickly do you ship?

Orders placed before 2:00 PM Mountain Time on a business day go out the same day. After that, or on weekends and federal holidays, they leave the next business day. Cases and high-value orders occasionally need one extra day for verification, and we'll email you if that happens.

How long does delivery take?

Standard runs 3–7 business days after dispatch. Two-Day Air is 2 business days, Next Day Air is 1. These are carrier estimates rather than guarantees, and the clock starts at the first carrier scan, not at checkout. Weather and remote destinations can add a day.

Do you ship internationally?

Not at present. We ship within the United States — all 50 states, the District of Columbia, P.O. Boxes, and APO/FPO military addresses. P.O. Box and APO/FPO orders travel by USPS only, since UPS and FedEx can't deliver to those addresses.

How is my order packed?

Sealed product goes into a rigid, reinforced carton with bubble wrap and void fill so corners and shrink wrap survive the trip. Singles ship in a penny sleeve and toploader, inside a team bag, inside a rigid mailer.

Every shipment is insured at our expense. Orders over $250 require an adult signature on delivery — we can't waive that or authorize a carrier release, because either would void the insurance protecting your order.

Where's my order?

Your tracking number is emailed the moment a label is scanned, and it's in your account under order history. Allow up to 24 hours for the first scan to register.

If tracking hasn't moved in five business days, or delivery is more than seven business days overdue, contact us and we'll open a carrier trace on your behalf.

My package arrived damaged. What now?

Don't open it. Photograph the damage from several angles, keep the carton and all packing material, and email contact@ruebarree.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number.

We handle the carrier claim from there and send a replacement or a full refund, your choice. Opening a sealed box that arrived damaged ends our ability to claim, which is why we ask you to wait.

Tracking says delivered, but nothing's here.

Check with neighbours and around the property first — carriers sometimes scan early or leave parcels out of sight. If it hasn't turned up within 24 hours, contact us within seven days and we'll help you file a carrier claim. The signature requirement on higher-value orders exists to prevent exactly this.

I entered the wrong address.

Contact us immediately. If the label hasn't printed we can usually correct it in seconds. Once a parcel is moving, we have to wait for it to come back to us — at that point we'll refund the order, or re-send it once you've covered the carrier's actual cost for the second journey.

Payment & billing

What payment methods do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, plus PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We can't accept cheques, money orders, cryptocurrency, or cash on delivery. Approved wholesale accounts can also pay by ACH or wire.

When am I charged?

In full when you place the order, including pre-orders. You'll see a single charge covering the whole order, tax and any shipping upgrade included.

Do you charge sales tax?

We collect sales tax where U.S. state and local law requires it, Colorado included. The rate depends on your delivery address and is calculated at checkout, so you see the full breakdown before you commit. Tax-exempt buyers should send their certificate to us before ordering — tax can't be refunded after the fact.

My payment was declined.

Nothing is charged and no stock is reserved when a payment fails. The most common cause is a billing address that doesn't match what your card issuer holds, so check that first. We'll email you and hold the basket for 48 hours to let you try again, after which the order is cancelled automatically.

A declined attempt sometimes leaves a pending authorization on your statement. It isn't a charge and your bank releases it within a few business days.

The price dropped after I bought. Can I get the difference?

No, and the rule cuts both ways: if the market rises after your order, we honour your original price and never ask for more. Card prices move daily, and a policy that only worked in one direction wouldn't be sustainable for either of us.

Returns & refunds

What's your return policy?

Sealed product that's still factory sealed, unopened, and in original condition can be returned for any reason within 90 days of delivery — well beyond the trade standard. Email us with your order number to start; returns sent back without authorization can't be processed.

Singles and graded cards can be returned within 14 days if they're materially different from the listing description or photos.

Can I return a box I've opened?

No. Once a box, pack, or case is opened — or its seal broken — it can't be returned, exchanged, or refunded. This is universal across the hobby and exists to prevent search-and-return abuse. It applies equally to mystery boxes and repacks, and to cards removed from slabs or holders.

My pulls were terrible. Can I return the box?

We understand the feeling, but no. Odds are set by the manufacturer, and pull rates vary between boxes — printed ratios are averages across an entire production run, not promises about your box. What you buy from us is the sealed product itself, not its contents.

If a card came out of the pack physically defective — miscut, print flaw, factory surface damage — that's a manufacturer claim, and we'll point you to the right department and supply proof of purchase.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes — any order can be cancelled for a full refund at any time before it ships, pre-orders included. There's no cancellation fee. Email or call us as soon as you decide, because we move quickly. Once a consignment is with the carrier it can't be recalled, and the return rules above apply instead.

I received the wrong item.

Email us within seven days with your order number and a photo of what arrived. We dispatch the correct item straight away and include a prepaid label for the return. You're not out of pocket.

How long do refunds take?

Returns are inspected within three business days of arrival. Approved refunds are released within five to ten business days to your original payment method, and your bank may take a few days more to post the credit. Since standard shipping is free, there's no carriage charge to refund; expedited upgrades are refunded only where the fault was ours.

Warranty

Do you offer a warranty?

Supplies and accessories — toploaders, penny sleeves, magnetic holders, one-touch cases, binders, storage boxes, display products — carry a full 12-month warranty from delivery. If one fails in normal use through a manufacturing defect, we replace or refund it. The warranty covers the original purchaser and isn't transferable.

Are sealed boxes covered?

Sealed product is covered from arrival until you open it. If a box turns up crushed, dented, torn, water-damaged, or with compromised shrink wrap, we replace or refund it — report it within 48 hours for transit damage, or seven days for a visible factory packaging defect.

Coverage ends when the product is opened, which is why a damaged box shouldn't be opened before you contact us.

What isn't covered?

Cards inside sealed product (manufacturer claims only), disappointing contents, variance from published insertion ratios, anything opened, damage arising after delivery from storage or handling, and ordinary wear. Liability is limited to the original purchase price — no claim arises for lost resale value or anticipated profit.

Who do I contact about a defective card from inside a pack?

The manufacturer runs its own replacement programme: Panini America (collector services), Topps (customer service), Upper Deck (quality assurance), Leaf, Wizards of the Coast for Magic: The Gathering, The Pokémon Company International for the Pokémon TCG, and Konami for Yu-Gi-Oh!. Email us and we'll point you to the correct process and supply proof of purchase.

Accounts & wholesale

Do I need an account to order?

No — guest checkout works fine. An account makes life easier: saved addresses, order history, and tracking in one place.

Do you offer wholesale pricing?

Yes, to qualified retailers, breakers, and resellers. Email contact@ruebarree.com with "WHOLESALE APPLICATION" in the subject line, enclosing your business licence, reseller or exemption certificate, EIN, business address, and evidence of active trading. We review applications within five to seven business days.

Can I buy in bulk at wholesale prices for my own collection?

No. Wholesale is strictly for businesses reselling the product. Personal bulk buying doesn't qualify — though larger retail orders may still be eligible for a volume discount, so it's worth asking.

Card care & hobby basics

How should I store my cards?

Match the protection to the value. Commons and base cards do fine in penny sleeves inside a storage box. Anything you'd be annoyed to damage belongs in a sleeve and toploader. Premium cards go in a magnetic holder or one-touch. Keep everything upright, in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight — heat and humidity warp cards faster than handling does.

Do you grade cards?

We don't grade in-house. For PSA, BGS, or SGC submissions you'll go directly to the grader or through an authorized dealer. Email us if you'd like a steer on which service suits what you're submitting.

How do I catch new releases before they sell out?

Watch the pre-order listings — allocated releases are usually gone before street date — and join our email list, which goes out when new product lands rather than on a schedule.

Security & privacy

Is my payment information safe?

Card details are entered directly into a PCI-compliant processor's secure form. Ruebarree never sees or stores a full card number — we receive the brand, the last four digits, and the approval result. The whole site runs on TLS encryption.

What do you do with my personal information?

We don't sell it. It's shared only where the store needs it to function: carriers to deliver, payment processors to take payment, and the hosting, email, and analytics services that run the site. Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form.

Under the Colorado Privacy Act and comparable state laws you can request a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or opt out of targeted advertising. Email us with "PRIVACY REQUEST" in the subject line and we'll respond within 45 days.

I think my account has been compromised.

Change your password immediately, here and anywhere you reused it, then email contact@ruebarree.com with "ACCOUNT COMPROMISED" in the subject line. We'll lock the account, review recent activity, and help you back in safely.

I got an email that claims to be from Ruebarree. Is it real?

We will never ask for your password, request a full card number outside checkout, send links asking you to "verify" your account on another site, or demand payment by gift card, crypto, or wire. If a message does any of those, it isn't from us — forward it to us and delete it without clicking anything.
